Whose core burns with the fires of inevitability

This, the cycle in the timeless plane will never be broken
Your despair fills your lungs with shades of panic
Reaching for the waking gasp of a nightmare snapped,
But you will never leave this place, never die and never live
Your grave will be the clothes on your body
Your tombstone will be the empty words you speak
Your autumn breeze will be the cruel whip of the desert wind
And your rain will be the silent tears of a thousand lifetimes
In and out of time, wasting away
Under skies made of flame and fury the fugue carries on,
A fickle sun watches the madness unfold below.

Why have you bargained with the hall of mirrors?
They will never accept your reflections for tribute!
When they have all gone and taken pieces of you

Then you will remember a voice cold as lonely stone:

And even when you are long gone in the great blackness
Your memory will be retrieved by another not unlike you
So rise my seed and do leave something behind

And when you do leave this layer of simulation
